At CareProposal.com, protecting the privacy of patients and healthcare providers who use our platform is a core priority. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have over your data.
1. Information We Collect
From patients submitting a medical case: the location(s) you specify, a description of your medical condition or treatment needs, any medical documents or images you choose to upload (e.g., X-rays, test results), and your email address.
From clinics and hospitals registering on the platform: clinic/hospital name, email, business address, country/county/city, the full name and contact number of the person managing the account, a copy of a government-issued identity document, and legal/accreditation documents required to verify the provider (e.g., operating licenses, professional certifications, insurance documentation).
We do not collect payment card details. Clinic subscriptions are paid via direct bank transfer; we never process or store card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Information
Patient case information is used solely to match your case with accredited clinics and hospitals in your chosen specialty and location, and to route your case to them by email. Clinic registration information, including identity and legal documents, is used to verify that a provider is legitimately accredited to operate in their country before activating their account.
3. AI-Assisted Case Classification
To route cases accurately and to filter spam or non-medical submissions, case descriptions are processed by a third-party AI service (Anthropic’s Claude API) to identify the relevant medical specialty. No patient-identifying information (name, contact details) is included in this classification step — only the case description itself.
4. How Information Is Shared
Patient case details are shared only with the specific clinics and hospitals matched to that case based on specialty and location. Clinics receive your case by email and reply directly to you — we do not publish your case publicly or share it with unrelated third parties.
Clinic identity and legal documents are accessed only by CareProposal’s administrators, for verification purposes, and are never shared publicly.
We do not sell personal information to any third party.
5. Data Retention
Clinic verification documents are retained for as long as the clinic maintains an active or pending account. Patient case data is retained only as long as necessary to complete the matching and communication process. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 7).
6. Security
Uploaded documents are stored in access-restricted storage, not publicly accessible. All data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS). File uploads are validated by type and size, and scanned for malicious content where technically possible.
7. Your Rights (GDPR / HIPAA / PHIPA / HITECH)
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or request deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below. We aim to respond to all requests within 30 days.
8. Cookies
CareProposal.com uses only essential cookies required for basic site functionality (e.g., session security). We do not currently use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
9. Children’s Privacy
CareProposal.com is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last Updated” date above.
